Assistant Director, Technology & Design
“They’re gonna have to drag me out of TAD,” says TAD’s Assistant Director Lindsey Cooper. They might have to roll her out in a wheelchair, as Lindsey’s blood runs purple through and through. A valley native and JMU alumna, Lindsey graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, focusing on graphic design.
After graduation, Lindsey spent five years in graphic design at Bridgewater College and Massanutten Resort, but itched for a peek from behind the computer screen. What attracted Lindsey to TAD was her passion for working with students, and for Lindsey there are “no two days that are exactly the same.” Lindsey guides students to reaching their creative potential. She also enjoys learning alongside TAD employees; they keep her “fresh” with what’s going on in technology and in the world. She foresees herself staying in the greater Harrisonburg area and at TAD for a very long time.
In her spare time, Lindsey loves hiking, cooking, watching Netflix shows, and catching up on some sweet Z’s every chance she can get. She’s now in the process of updating her new home, so pretty soon she’ll be a painting and flooring pro. Lindsey also takes advantage of living close to her family, which means she can spend time with her 16-month-old nephew.
Fun Fact: Lindsey is a leftie!
