Major: Cultural Anthropology and SMAD
Videography team rock star Claire Downey started at TAD in April and is now kicking off her senior year here at JMU! This Warrington, VA native and cultural anthropology and SMAD (with a concentration in digital video and cinema) double major was recruited by her friend and former Graphic Designer Kaylan Wood.
“She spoke very highly of it [TAD] and told me they were looking for video people,” Claire said.
Before working at TAD, Claire took a film class in high school and discovered that videography could be her dream career. She worked as a media intern this past summer and has also done freelance work in addition to her coursework. Her talent isn’t only limited to video, though! She also has musical talents in guitar, stand-up bass, and banjo-playing. She used to be in a band, but now prefers playing guitar by herself in her free time. She also loves hiking to unwind and be with nature.
Student Activities & Involvement Recruitment Video
Student Activities & Involvement wanted a fresh take on recruitment for their GA Assistantship positions, so we went MTV Cribs style. The lighthearted approach to this video is reflective of the SAI office, and we hope it brought in some fun applicants!
