Major: Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication
Brooke Blaney is a senior WRTC major with a concentration in writing and rhetoric. This will be Brooke’s second year at TAD and her first as the Writing team lead. Now the team lead, she originally was recommended to TAD from an older Writing team lead named Elaina Taylor. Brooke started practicing her writing craft in high school creative writing classes and honed it writing for the News Section of The Breeze, before joining TAD.
At home Brooke likes to curl up and watch well made, dystopian shows and movies, like 3% on Netflix. She also enjoys reading and writing poetry and short stories, sometimes in Spanish. Over the summer Brooke used her Spanish skills to study abroad in Chile for six weeks. There, she took two classes while making friends with the host family, whom she still keeps in touch with.
