What is Mindful Experience Retreat Afternoon?
Every month, Mad 4U hosts an opportunity to relax, rejuvenate, learn something new, and invest in self care at a mini Afternoon Retreat. These events run from 1pm – 5pm in MU 256 and bring some of the Valley’s most well thought of practitioners, healers, yogis, and teachers. Come experience something from one of the world’s great faith paths or healing modalities. Or just come for the great vibes and sense of community!
Sept. 14th, Astrologer Kathy Rose – “What is needed in order to have balance in life is the equal development of our “inner technology.” We all have within us the ability to self-activate natural mood elevation – without alcohol, nicotine, drugs or overeating. Knowing how to direct your state of mind toward inner peace and relaxation – on command – is a valuable asset in dealing with life pressure and maintaining spiritual harmony.

Meditation and mindfulness programs from Mad 4U – Good Vibes!
Madison Meditates daily – MWF at noon in The Meditation Room, MU 419, and TTh at 4pm also in The Meditation Room, MU 419. No experience necessary.

Tuesdaysat 4pm – 5pm: Shari Scofield shares mindfulness practices for stress relief.
Wednesdays at noon – 1pm: Prof.Ed Brantmeier, in collaboration with the ICSP & CFI. These sessions will be focused on “Contemplative Practice for Self-Care”!
Also Wednesdays – 5pm – 6pm: Grayson Pritchard of Blue Heron Healing Arts joins Mad 4U to teach Inner Martial Arts & QiGong also in MU 419
Thursdays at 4pm – 5pm: Prof. Karin Tollefson-Hall brings arts and crafts supplies and weaves mindfulness practices with creative challenges.
Fridays at noon – 1pm: Yoga Nidra – join us for the meditation on complete non-effort.
Koru – a four session mindfulness skills class aimed at navigating the tasks young adults face, helping them cope with anxiety, and achieve meaningful personal growth. Sign up on line, spaces limited, classes small!
