On Thursday, October 25th, E-Hall was full of students excited for UPB’s annual Homecoming Late Night Breakfast. What made this year’s event special was that attendees had the chance to take a picture with the Duke Dog and receive a free JMU Homecoming 2012 t-shirt. The event was especially spirited thanks to the presence of the JMU cheerleaders and DJ Plattinum.
Attendees had their fill of tater tots, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage and bacon, but that was only the half of it. Along with food, they also had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with friends, participate in an inflatable game of skee-ball or cornhole, and make “Go Dukes” signs.
“The dancing was the best,” said freshmen Katie Blackman when she described last month’s late night breakfast. Her good experience with last month’s event in combination with the event reminder she saw on her “mappy” acquired during FrOG week encouraged her to give the Homecoming themed late night breakfast a go.
Luckily for Katie, DJ Plattinum had half of E-Hall happily dancing during the last hour of the event. “I just thought this was supposed to be breakfast. It’s more like a dance party with tater tots,” said freshmen Haley Davis, whose favorite part of the event was the atmosphere and music.
