If you’re looking for a change of routine while you’re holed up in your dorm, look no further than Thursday Crafternoons from the Office of Student Activities and Involvement! Each Thursday on the patio outside The Union from 12-3pm, SAI is providing fun and free crafts in grab-and-go bags!
The program has been created to provide relaxing, low-key activities to help students with stress relief while building a sense of community around campus. In such a chaotic time, this is a great way to pause and take a minute for yourself! The program is safe, accessible, and respectful of campus’s COVID-19 guidelines.
So far, crafts have included mini-canvas painting, decorating door signs, decorating mason jars, Halloween coloring pages, and other fun crafts. In the coming weeks, get ready for mask decorating as well as making mask lanyards!
The program will continue after campus goes online. SAI will be hosting virtual crafts via their Instagram stories. Make sure to follow @jmustudentactivities to stay up to date on all of the events that SAI puts on!
