Major: Studio Art
Studio Art major Caley English continues to lend her talents to TAD as a member of the Video Team. By combining her major and her talents with video production, Caley is able to fully explore her creativity.
Caley’s talents are actually what led her to TAD. When she heard about an opening through a network of Taddies located at the art gallery she worked at, Caley became eager to apply. Since joining the Video Team, she has expanded upon her skills in both filming and editing. While her work in the past allowed her to explore more of the technical aspects of video making, she hopes this year will allow her to work more with different editing softwares and all the capabilities they have to offer.
Caley’s love for art extends past her time in class. Her hobbies include music, thrifting, and creating art. She hopes to combine her passions in her artwork and find ways to implement filmmaking. “I want to make it interdisciplinary, so I think that making a video is a really good way to tie in visual art.”
In the next five years, Caley hopes to find a job in the city. She loves the challenge that TAD brings and hopes that her career will encourage the same passion.
Style and Tradition
Caley English filmed three of our student employees, two designers and a videographer, posing as students creating t-shirt designs for Madison Union’s annual contest. The winning design of this contest is produced and distributed at the Madison Union Open House.
