Graphic Design major
Like many artists and creative minds, Allison’s current skills in graphic design were cultivated from an early age. Allison attributes the growth of her talents to her mother, who always encouraged Alison to pursue drawing and graphic design. When she was younger, she and her mother created scrapbooks which would later serve as the impetus for an assortment of other at-home projects.
Eventually, Allison’s mother influenced her to try her hand at graphic design. Allison applied and was accepted to Carroll County Tech Center where she spent half of her high school days learning graphic design and prep-production. At this point Allison realized that she really loved graphic design and wanted to pursue a career in the field.
In the vast realm of design, she is particularly fond of typography, interactive, and motion graphics. However, character design does hold a special place in her heart. In a perfect world, Allison would be thrilled to make animated movie or series of some sort. It’s side hobbies like these, and her constant drawing that keeps her creative sparks flying.
Aside from her design, Allison is an extremely active person. She makes an effort to run daily and has far off hopes of someday completing a marathon. Allison played a plethora of sports in high school, including basketball which happens to still be one of her favorite hobbies. Allison complements her active lifestyle by being just as active in the kitchen. She enjoys preparing and cooking healthy yet tasty meals.
Fun Fact: In almost unbelievable ironic fashion, Allison’s birthday falls on April Fool’s Day.
