Help Fight Homelessness with OCL

Alternative Weekend Break

March 22-24

Open to ALL students!  Only $25/participant (covers transportation, food, and housing)

For over 20 years, the mission of ForKids has been to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty for families and children in Norfolk, Virginia. This year, over 9,000 children will slip into homelessness in Hampton Roads. As this agency continues providing housing, education, and services, families become one step closer to escaping the cycle.

As a volunteer, you actively make the step towards helping break the cycle. We will be working with this organization’s 2 biggest services/fundraisers!  Volunteers will work at ForKid’s thrift store called GoodMojo and also at the 12th Annual Children’s Art Auction (aka ForKid’s biggest fundraiser of the year!!!)  Housing includes staying in cabins in the state park located near the beach! Be a volunteer and reflect on the privileges you have. Most of all… HELP ForKids help homeless families!
