NEXT - collaborates with Second Home to teach middle school students lessons about leadership, self-esteem, and social interaction skills
Spread the Bread – collaborates with JMU Dining Services and the Salvation Army to raise student awareness for food composting at JMU and donating excess food
GROWing Green – collaborates with Big Brothers and Sisters to provide programming for the Bigs and Littles to learn about environmental awareness
S.M.I.L.E. – collaborates with the Emeritus Retirement Community to provide monthly programs on gardening, games, dancing, cooking, arts and crafts.
Peakview Environmental Education Project – collaborates with the Parks and Recreation Club at Peakview Elementary school to provide an environmental education series.
The Sisterhood of Marafiki – collaborates with Second Home to provide access to new experiences such as icebreakers, board games, crafts, zumba, and decorating cakes to a group of all girls to gain friendship and self-esteem.
After School Activity Program (ASAP)— interest in working with children grades sixth through eighth grade. The focus is to create bonds of friendship, trust, and mutual understanding fostering a sense of community. Actual partnerships and collaborations still being defined.
Mountain Trail or River Clean Up – This CAP is in the brainstorming stage. Details and actual name of Change Action Project to be determined.
