IFC is the governing body of the 15 national fraternities in our office.

Each year fraternity men and sorority women come back to JMU early to serve the community by helping the freshmen move in. We take great pride in introducing the newest students to our campus and creating a welcoming environment.

Judicial Process

The purpose of the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Judicial board is to promote actions in accordance with standards of fraternities and sororities set forth by the Four Pillars of Excellence. These standards include abiding by NIC (when applicable) and NPC regulations, and FIPG, JMU Alcohol policies, and adherence to social standards of the James Madison community. This process is to be educational, preventative, and punitive for all chapters at James Madison University.
