Board of Directors
The programming arm of the Interfraternity Council, the Board of Directors works directly with the Executive Board to plan and implement social, community service, and philanthropic events in the JMU and Harrisonburg communities. Board of Directors also sit on Interfraternity Council Judicial Board hearings and accompany Assistant Greek Coordinators on registered social event checks. Board of Directors are elected by their fraternity and must meet several grade-point average, judicial history, and leadership requirements prior to their approval and installation by the President’s Council.
IFC Judicial Board
When a violation of the Standards Policy by an Interfraternity Council Member Organization allegedly occurs, the incident is investigated by the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life. Should sufficient evidence exist, the case is resolved by an Interfraternity Council Judicial Hearing Board. For more information about this process, please see the resources listed below.
Interfraternity Council Recruitment
It is an exciting time to join a fraternity here at James Madison University! For two weeks at the beginning of each semester, fraternities open their doors and host recruitment events. Recruitment for the Spring 2014 semester begins on Tuesday, January 21st with IFC Info Night and concludes on Friday, January 31st. Organizations are encouraged to participate in Student Organization Night on Thursday, January 23rd.
