Greek InterVarsity is a national inter-denominational campus ministry created specifically for fraternity and sorority members on campuses across the country. Through annual Greek Conferences, group meetings on campus and Bible studies in fraternities and sororities, Greek IV at JMU seeks to connect Greek students to each other, and most importantly, God.
Past and Present
Greek IV at JMU was created by JMU Greek students for JMU Greek students. In 2008, JMU students began wondering what it would look like to have a Christian organization on campus specifically for Greeks. A group of 17 curious students headed to Charlotte, NC for Greek InterVarsity’s annual Greek Conference and left ready to begin the organization at JMU.
Since then, Greek IV has continued to grow and establish itself on JMU’s campus. The organization has over 100 students involved, takes around 50 students to Greek Conference each year, and has several sorority Bible studies. We hope to continue to grow and see every sorority and fraternity involved with Greek IV, and more specifically, have a Bible study in their chapter, led by one of their own fraternity brothers or sorority sisters.
Large group meetings: Monday nights in Taylor at 8:00.
