Each year fraternity men and sorority women come back to JMU early to serve the community by helping the freshmen move in. We take great pride in introducing the newest students to our campus and creating a welcoming environment.

FSLdelta sigma phi

Delta Sigma Phi was founded in 1899 on the principle of all inclusive membership into the fraternity. That tradition has carried on for more than a century, as Delta Sigma Phi has helped young men become better leaders and better citizens. Brotherhood is a lifetime commitment to living our core values: Culture, Harmony, and Friendship. Our intention is not merely to develop a strong fraternity, but in addition, to challenge our members to make a difference in their communities and their world.

As Delta Sigs, we strive to better our community and university through efforts of community service, philanthropy, commitment to academics, participation in activities outside the organization, as well as providing healthy social outlets. Delta Sigma Phi members give back to their communities in a number of ways across the nation, but as an organization we have a national partnership with the American Red Cross. Chapters across the nation raise money for the American Red Cross through individual philanthropy efforts, however each year Delta Sig hosts a national Blood Drive, where all chapters across the nation set up blood drives on their respective campuses. It is through our commitment to service, philanthropy, and academics that Delta Sig is able to be regarded as one of the premiere men’s fraternities.

Delta Sigma Phi is new to James Madison University and is currently looking for men who would like to become founding fathers of Delta Sigma Phi at JMU. By becoming a founding father, you are helping to create a fraternity that will allow you to leave a legacy here at JMU long after you have graduated. Rather than adapt to a culture that does not align with your beliefs, you have the ability to create a fraternity that not only has your mark on it, but also creates an environment that is open to change and improvement. Furthermore, your impact does not stop with Delta Sigma Phi, rather it has a positive ripple affect amongst the entire fraternity and sorority community. If you are interested in learning more about this unique opportunity contact the representatives listed below in “Chapter Information.”
