This new and exciting 6 week personal development workshop series is competitive and limited to 28 students. This program is funded by an IDEA grant. There is no cost to you, meals are provided each week and the experience is priceless! Using the DISC Personality Profile Ultimate Discovery System, you will learn your personality blend and be able to identify the personality blend of your peers, family members and coworkers. With this workshop you will have the tools to communicate more effectively in your chosen career and improve your ability to develop relationships with others across the globe.
Creating a small sample of the globe on JMU’s campus, the Dux Center is collaborating with the Center of Multicultural Student Services (CMSS) to partner with various departments, student groups and programs to bring a unique student population together for this DISC Workshop Series. You will have the opportunity to meet and work with students from the following groups: African Student Organization; Athletics; Asian Student Union; Black Student Alliance; Centennial Scholars Program; Contemporary Gospel Singers; Disability Services; Gandhi Center; Graduate Students; Latino Student Alliance; LGBT; ROTC; School of Business and School of Theatre and Dance. Just two students will be chosen from each of the above areas from the application pool. Deadline to apply is September 3, 2012. Applications will be then be reviewed. Notification will be sent to you by email on September 10, 2012.
