Caley has always been an excellent employee who consistently performs at a high level, challenging herself to improve upon her already high level of skills. But Caley goes beyond high achievement.
This year, Madison Union Art Galleries has been shorthanded, to say the least. When I was in dire need of help to install the Center for Global Engagement’s photo contest show in the former Prism Gallery, I asked Caley and she rose to the occasion and more. She already runs Artworks Gallery, so I knew she would be helpful, but she exceeded all my expectations. Caley took several hours out of her Friday to assist with installation. When I say “assist,” I more-so mean “lead,” because she showcased a level of competency that thoroughly impressed me. I was happy to follow her lead. Her attention to detail was impressive, utilizing techniques we have never used in our gallery space installs, but will certainly in the future!
Her eagerness to help, her competency, and her overall positive, cheery attitude bring so much to TAD. Did I mention that she’s a videographer? Meaning, gallery work is outside of the expectations of her job. For this, I am so thankful to have a team player like Caley.
