JMU has a wide array of eclectic talent, ranging from music and dance, to stand-up comedy and juggling. Every Tuesday night, Mad4U seeks to showcase any and all talent students may possess at their Open Mic Nights, so long as it’s legal. At 7:00 p.m. on September 18 students will begin to congregate in TDU for the first Open Mic Night of the semester to cheer on their peers showing off their amazing talents, and file out at11:00 p.m. talking about their favorite performances.
Any student can sign up to participate of spectate. Performers looking to get on stage for the first time or the hundredth time are welcome, so long as they sign up online. But no one must sign up to come and watch. Instead, students who do not want to perform can do any of the activities they normally do in TDU. Play pool while being serenaded, or just take your mind off that giant paper you have due and come to TDU.
Practice your performing chops to become the next big thing or come watch and witness performers before they blow up. On either side of the stage it’s guaranteed to be a great time. Come sit down with some Auntie Anne’s and enjoy the up and coming talent JMU has to offer.
If you like what the Open Mic Night has to offer, you will love Tunes at Noon. Also hosted by Mad4U, it is every Wednesday at noon in TDU and features the favorites artists from the previous Open Mic Night.
